Overview
Although still at a nascent stage, improved internet speed, and a considerable increase of smartphone usage has allowed various entrepreneurs to harness digital technologies to improve the standard of living, especially in rural India where the mobile revolution is fast catching up.
A mechanical engineer and aspiring entrepreneur named Javahar Patel, from the village of Raniguda, Chhattisgarh approached us with a proposal to design and develop an app targeted at a very unique audience. With a goal of connecting rural farmers in Chhattisgarh to buy and sell cattle and domestic pets, Pashupati app aimed at transforming transactions and simplifying lives.
Discovery - An app which is high on usability, minus all the frills.
In order to provide the best possible experience to the end users we had to undertake a deep user understanding of the customer groups and potential target audience. During our research we found out that the target audience often faced poor internet connectivity and had very little knowledge of mobile apps. These findings led us to develop an app in Hindi language and with an extremely simple, easy to use interface and features.

The Result
Pashupati App was the first online marketplace app built for farmers in the state of Chattisgarh. This project allowed us to gain significant insights on the pain points faced by farmers in rural India. The client was very impressed with the outcome since this was one of a kind app to help the farming community in his village and surrounding town. With marketing and YouTube videos, Pashupati app gained popularity in the community due to its simple and seamless interface. The entire journey of designing and developing the app was incredibly humbling and wholesome for the team. As a result Pashupati App got 1000+ downloads in few months of launch organically.
